Mary Lee Landers, 77, of Warrensburg, Mo., died Thursday, Jan. 2.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the First Presbyterian Church of Warrensburg with the Rev. Heather Jepsen officiating.

Inurnment will follow at Sunset Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

She was the daughter of Marion and Birdie (Neal) Clark.  Mary Lee was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Warrensburg and spent her childhood in Centerview, Mo., remaining a lifelong resident of Johnson County, Mo., with the exception of a short residence in Rolla, Mo.

Mary Lee graduated from Warrensburg College High School in 1954 and cherished her friendships with her classmates and sustained close relations through the years. While in school, she worked at Vernaz Drug Store at the cosmetic counter.

She married Jack Landers on Aug. 1, 1954, at the First Presbyterian Church of Warrensburg.

Mary Lee was a seamstress at Unitog and was employed at Town and Country Shoes in Warrensburg. She opened her home to daycare for many children. Mary Lee enjoyed her dogs, watching birds, and Jeopardy. She loved all sports, except hockey and curling, and will be remembered for her beautiful cross-stitching. Mary Lee devoted her life to raising her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-mother and cousin.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Landers, of the home; one son, Garry Landers and wife, Cheryl, of La Tour, Mo.; two daughters, Cheryl Landers of Warrensburg; Jacki Hasso and husband Don of Warrensburg; eight grandchildren, Clark Landers of Warrensburg; Stephanie and (Ben) Krupa of Raymore, Mo.; Marissa and (Zach) Bralick of Warrensburg; Clifton and Trisha Landers of Kingsville, Mo.; David Hasso of Warrensburg; Kyle and (Caitlyn) Lackey of Overland Park, Kan.; Anissa and (Jalen) Hasso of Kansas City, Mo.; and Alex Lackey of Warrensburg; and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church Foundation and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
