Mary Lillian Williams

Mary Lillian Williams, 85, of Warrensburg, Mo., died Friday, Jan. 3 at Country Club Care Center in Warrensburg.

Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9 at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden. The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Trenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Trenton.

She was born Aug. 12, 1928, in Seattle, Wash., the daughter of Elijah L. and Mildred M. (Cyphers) Tredway. Mary was wed to Jimmie Williams in Troy, Kan., on Feb. 12, 1947.  He preceded her in death Feb. 28, 1996. She lived in Holden, Mo., from 1969 until moving to Warrensburg last year.

Mary was a sales representative for Avon products in the Holden community for many years. She was a member of Holden First Christian Church, Holden VFW Auxiliary, Elizabeth Randolph Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Laureate Delta Upsilon chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, All Together homemakers extension club, and of the Holden Rebekah Lodge.

She leaves one son, Joel Williams, of Holden; daughter, Ann Shulze (Peter), of Kansas City, Mo.; step-daughter, Brenda Fuchs (Robert), of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, John Tredway (Joyce), of Trenton, Mo.; sister, Jean Walker (Raymond), of Gallitin, Mo.
