Santa Claus, Toys for Tots at Mules basketball

University of Central Missouri Athletics, Mules basketball and the area Toys for Tots campaign have teamed up for Wednesday night's game against MidAmerica Nazarene. The game tips off at 7 p.m. in the Multipurpose Building. Anyone who donates a new, unwrapped toy or makes a monetary donation of at least $5 at the game will receive a coupon for a free box of popcorn courtesy of UCM Concessions by Sodexo, according to a news release. Jennies basketball hosts food drive

The Jennies basketball team will complete the 2018 calendar year with a nonconference game 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, in the Multipurpose Building against the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles (8-1, 1-0 GLVC). The Jennies will also be hosting a food drive with the proceeds benefitting the Warrensburg Food Center. Anyone who donates four or more canned or nonperishable food items will receive free admission to Tuesday's game. Donation bins will be located at each entrance to the arena.

A program focusing on Missouri bear populations and the management of grasslands and other wildlife habitat in the state will be featured at an upcoming meeting of the Johnson County Citizens for Environmental Action.
