(DIXON, Mo., AP) — A Missouri strip club owner is facing 10 misdemeanor charges accusing him of allowing dancers to perform topless, allowing alcohol to be consumed at the club and keeping the business open later than the law allows.
Officers with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office raided After Dark Gentlemen’s Club in Dixon on Oct. 11 after a lengthy investigation that revealed dancers who performed topless or totally nude, sometimes after midnight.
Club owner Matthew Wagner, 33, of Dixon, was charged Tuesday with five counts of allowing dancers to be nude or semi-nude, three counts of being open after midnight and two counts of selling alcohol.
The Missouri Supreme Court in 2011 upheld a 2010 state law that banned nudity, alcohol and touching between scantily clad employees and customers in sexually oriented business.
