Campaign raises $27,360 for Warrensburg Schools

Warrensburg Schools Foundation Director Meridith Sauer receives funds from Major Saver Vice-President Dale Krumm.

(Warrensburg, MO) — The 2015 Major Saver card campaign raised $27,360 for the Warrensburg R-VI School District. Dale Krumm, vice-president of sales and development for Major Saver, presented a check to Foundation President Bob Lotspeich on April 14.

Since 1999, over $436,000 has been raised through Major Saver for  the school district. Bob Lotspeich, foundation president, said that the funds raised through the partnership with Major Saver have been invaluable.

Since its inception in 1994, the Foundation contributed to the schools with the Classroom Impact Grant program, the Academic Excellence Awards Banquet, and overseeing scholarships awarded to teachers, WHS students and WHS seniors.

Businesses who sponsored the 2015 discount card include: Country Kitchen, Sonic, New China Buffet, Tony’s Market & Deli, Café Blackadder, Dairy Queen Grill & Chill, Burger King, Mazzio’s Italian Eatery, Rib Crib, Papa Johns Pizza, Nathan’s Grill, Old Drum Coffeehouse and Bakery, Warrensburg Community Center, Casey’s General Store, El Monterrey, Lotspeich Automotive, Papa Murphy, Roundabout Café, and Traditions.
