Nancy J. Huggins, 60, of Leeton, Missouri, died Friday, Oct. 23, at Country Club Care Center.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg, Missouri, with Pastor Walter Snyder officiating. Visitation services begin at 10 a.m.

Private burial took place at Mineral Creek Cemetery in Leeton.

She was born Feb. 26, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Theodore E. and Edna (Willard) Ditty.

She was united in marriage to Randall W. Huggins on June 7, 1980, at the Blue Ridge Presbyterian Church in Raytown, Missouri.

Nancy graduated from Raytown High School class of 1973. She then attended and received her bachelor’s degree in social work from Central Missouri State University in 1979. Nancy worked at Henry County as a children’s service worker for more than 22 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Leeton and a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Randall; one daughter, Jessica Huggins, of Calhoun, Missouri; one son, James Huggins, of Leeton; her mother, Edna Ditty, of Warrensburg; one brother, Paul Ditty; four grandchildren, Blake Costes, Grayson Leonard, Cecil Huggins and Allison Huggins; and several nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Johnson County Cancer Foundation or the Wyatt Guest Home in Columbia, Missouri, and both can be left at the funeral home.
