(ST. LOUIS, AP) — A nonprofit group overseeing St. Louis’ sprawling Forest Park wants the public’s help in figuring out ways to improve the site’s trails, paths and roadways over the next quarter century.
Forest Park Forever has kicked off what will be a week of discussions, focus groups and open houses about the 25-year plan for the park.
The group’s executive director, Lesley Hoffarth, says the park’s master plan is 20 years old.
The agency recently announced a push to build $30 million in projects in coming years, boost its endowment to $100 million, and conclude a three-year fundraising drive.
Public open houses will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Dennis and Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center at 5955 Grand Drive.
