Lillian C. Clifton, 88, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Thursday, Nov. 5, at St. Luke’s Hospital East in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
She was born May 12, 1927, in Warrensburg, the daughter of F. Gale and Pearl (Stewart) Baker.
She was united in marriage to Renick Everett Clifton on Feb. 14, 1942, in Lexington, Missouri. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1972.
Lillian was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a kind, generous person who loved taking care of others. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Warrensburg.
Lillian is survived by her two children, Larry Clifton, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Gail Poe of Springfield, Missouri; dear friend, Dana Moore, of Warrensburg; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services were Sunday, Nov. 8, at Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Warrensburg with the Rev. Randy Crawshaw officiating. Pallbearers were be Jim Moore, Bryon McMurphy, Nick Poe, Matt Clifton, Garrett Young and Brandon Phelps.
Interment followed at Warrensburg Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and can be left at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg.
