Lessie Floyd Farris

Lessie Floyd Farris, 85, of Holden, Missouri, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Missouri.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Holden Cemetery.

Less was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Buzzard Hollow, Missouri, to Mack Farris and Cora (Ratliff) Farris. Less married Lee Anna Bell Sechrest and have lived in the Holden area for over 50 years. Less served in the United States Army, Korean War, from 1950 to 1951 as a lay operator.

Less was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, and three sisters.

Surviving his passing are two stepsons, Dale McKinney and wife, Georgia, of Lone Jack, Missouri; and Robert McKinney, of Holden; one stepdaughter, Stella Smith, and husband, Russell, of Holden; and one brother, Ted Farris, and wife, Sue, of Buckner, Missouri. Eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Holden Cemetery Association in memory of Lessie F. Farris.
