Mary Kathryn Collins, 62, of Knob Noster, Missouri, died Wednesday, May 4, in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

Funeral services will be noon Monday, May 9, at Grover Park Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Warrensburg Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Collins, Stuart Collins, Dwayne Chapman, Shawn Estill, Bradley Coffey, Phillip Jenkins, Randall Beem and Scott Frazier. Honorary pallbearers will be Stevie Hardin, Kevin Hardin Jr., Xavier Hardin and Darius Hardin. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church.

Mary was born Oct. 7, 1953, in Chanute, Kansas, the daughter of Charles and Kathryn (Franklin) Weess.

Mary and Robert Collins were united in marriage on June 27, 1971.

Mary graduated from Warrensburg High School in 1971. She was the owner and operator of It’s Shear Magic Beauty Salon for 19 years, and she was a member of Grover Park Baptist Church.

Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Collins, of Knob Noster; two daughters, Stacy Collins and Jennifer Hardin, of Knob Noster; three grandsons, Kevin Hardin Jr., Darius Hardin and Xavier Hardin, all of Knob Noster; a brother, Charley Weess, of Van Alstyne, Texas; two sisters, Kelli Frazier and husband, Scott, of Sherman, Texas; and Andrea Weess, of Knob Noster; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Rose Beamguard; a brother-in-law, Randy Collins; a niece, Chasity Weess; and a nephew, Brian Collins.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Grover Park Baptist Church Building Fund and can be left in care of Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home.
