Carolyn Sue Brillhart

Carolyn Sue Brillhart, 69, of Holden, Missouri, died Wednesday, Aug. 6, at Lee’’s Summit Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Pastor Dexter Snyder of Forward Community Church and Pastor Jason Ku of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Holden Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Carolyn was born Sept. 3, 1944, in Clinton, Missouri, the daughter of Elmer L. Anderson and Helen Bernice (Suffal) Anderson. She was raised in Clinton. She was united in marriage to Buddy Ray McQueen on Jan. 2, 1960, in Clinton. Shortly after being married, they moved to Holden. Carolyn was a seamstress with Holden Manufacturing for many years. In 1991, she worked in real estate. She married Francis L. Brillhart on April 22, 1994, in Holden. She eventually went to work at Harmon Electronics in Warrensburg. Carolyn sold Home Interior for several years. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Holden. 

Survivors include her husband, Francis; three daughters, Vivian Tucker and husband, John, of Clinton; Lisa Heiman and husband, David, of Lone Jack, Missouri; and Robin Jolley and husband, Bill, of Clinton, Missouri; stepdaughter, Cindy Connell and husband, Jim, of Holden; three stepsons, Forrest Brillhart and wife, Kathy, of Holden; Phillip Brillhart and Karen of Holden; and Darrin Brillhart and wife, Julie, of Lee’’s Summit; brother, Mike Anderson and wife, Joyce, of Pleasant Hill, Missouri; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins and many lifelong friends. She was preceded in death by both parents; two brothers, Robert Lee Anderson and Butch Anderson; and sister, Helen “Jean” McKnight.
