A wreck on Southeast 651 Road near Leeton early Monday morning resulted in one fatality, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.

The driver, Michael J. Fagan, 31, lost control of his vehicle at approximately 3:30 a.m. heading northbound, traveled off the right side of the road and off a bridge, according to Highway Patrol reports. The car overturned after falling into a creek and hitting the embankment.

The passenger, Matthew J. Headley, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene by Johnson County Coroner CL Holdren. Fagan was not injured. Neither Headley nor Fagan were wearing seat belts.
