(WARRENSBURG, Mo.) – A home near the University of Central Missouri campus was destroyed by a fire early Monday morning, according to the Warrensburg Fire Department.
The Fire Department responded to the home at 703 S. Holden St. at 4:55 a.m. to find flames coming through the roof, according to a news release. The structure was a total loss. No one was home at the time of the fire.
The fire was ruled incendiary in nature, according to a news release. An investigation is ongoing by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety, Fire Department and Warrensburg Police Department.
The Fire Department was assisted by the Johnson County Fire Protection District, Missouri Division of Fire Safety, UCM Department of Public Safety, Warrensburg Police Department, and Warrensburg Public Works Department.
