The Joplin Globe (http://bit.ly/21UXBXb) reports that the patrol has found that the Nov. 30 shooting of the 49-year-old man was justified. The wounded man, who is white, remains in intensive care at a Joplin hospital.

Police said the suspect had fled from an apartment the first time officers responded to the domestic disturbance. Police returned a little more than an hour later, and the suspect is accused of driving at an officer with a vehicle.

Police said one officer then shot the suspect multiple times, while the second officer didn’t fire his weapon. The suspect, a state prison parolee, hasn’t been charged in the altercation.
