(KANSAS CITY, Mo., AP) — Police in Kansas City, Missouri, are investigating the shooting death of a man found wounded in the doorway of a motel room.

Authorities have not publicly identified the victim of the shooting shortly before 2 a.m. Friday at the Capital Inn. He was pronounced dead a short time later.

There was no immediate word about any arrests.
