Tyler M. Lockhart, 25, of Knob Noster, died in an automobile accident Tuesday, March 8, north of Knob Noster.
The family will receive friendsfrom 1 p.m. until service time Saturday, March 12, at Sweeney-Phillips & Holdren Funeral Home in Warrensburg. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service.
He was born Dec. 12, 1990, in Las Vegas, Nevada, the son of Dennis and Cindy Lou (Moncus) Lockhart.
Tyler attended school in Knob Noster, getting his GED in 2010. He had a passion for all sports and excelled in football and basketball.
Tyler was previously employed as a pipeliner where he was never afraid of a hard day’s work and loved traveling. He showed great interest in motor sports, especially in fast cars and diesel trucks.
Tyler’s friends describe him as a protector to all with a heart of gold. He was a family man, and a proud grandson who took care of his grandmother. His hobbies included playing pool, basketball and going mudding. One of his favorite pastimes was listening to music as loud as can be!
Tyler is survived by his mom, Cindy Lockhart, and husband, Jeff Pickett, of Knob Noster; his father, Dennis Lockhart and wife, Jette Canady, of Crestview, Florida; a sister, Danielle Desmarais and husband, Mark, and their daughter, Eva, of San Diego, California; a maternal grandmother, Joyce Sweeney, of Sedalia; a maternal grandfather, Thomas Moncus, of Jasper, Texas; and a cat, Bro Bro.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Recovery Lighthouse and can be left in care of the funeral home.
