Body cameras just make sense

Dear editor,

What the Ferguson report has shown us, as a nation, is that greater oversight and transparency is needed within our police departments. I believe this starts with body cameras. Body cameras are just common sense. They serve to protect officers against false allegations and they are evidence if there is police misconduct. It is simply a tool that collects a video and audio record of an event, free from bias. There is no logical argument against them. The time is now. Equip police with body cameras.
