Dororthy Roseann “Rosie” Bray, 70, of Holden has died; service is Sept. 1

(HOLDEN, Mo.) – Dorothy Roseann “Rosie” Bray, 70, of Holden, Mo., died  Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City.

Rosie was born Jan. 22, 1942 in Holden, daughter of Francis H. and Dorothy A. Thomason. She was a lifelong Holden resident. She was employed with Bendix Corporation at one time. Later, she worked at the Holden Water Department. More recently, She was a cook at Holden Manor Care Center for several years. Rosie married Charles Arnold “Arnie” Bray on May 19, 2006 in Holden. She enjoyed taking rides through the countryside, spoiling her dog, Angel, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Arnie; three stepchildren: Lori Ann Goodell, and husband, Dan of Bartlesville, Okla.; Larry Bray and wife, Ruthann of Schell City, Mo. and Donna Sprague and husband, Johnny of Vermontville, Miss.; a brother: Glen Thomason and wife, Delores of Holden, Mo.; fourteen step grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents and a nephew, Brian Thomason.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at Williams Funeral Chapel in Holden with Marsha & Warren Stowell, Evangelists at Community of Christ Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
