Francine Keller

Edwina Francine Keller, 83, of Warrensburg, Missouri, died Sunday, Nov. 12, at Clinton Healthcare in Clinton, Missouri.

Francine was born on June 9, 1934, in Benton County near Lincoln, Missouri, to Lloyd and Mildred Gertrude (Shank) Keller. She attended Union School (a one-room school house), Lincoln High School and Central Missouri State College. She graduated with a teaching degree and taught for many years. She taught for a short time while at Blairstown and Shawnee, Kansas. The majority of her teaching was done at Whiteman Air Force Base, and later at Knob Noster.

Francine was preceded in death by her parents; two nephews, Mike and Dennis Swabby; and a great-niece, Jamie Carroll.

She is survived by two sisters, Doriene (Gene) Swabby, and Connie (Darrell) Jones, both of Clinton; nieces, Janet Swabby, Sandy (John) Carroll and Sue (Bill) Steward; nephews, Doug (Debbie) Jones and David (Nancy) Jones; great-nieces, Michaela Carroll, Jocelyn Jones and Jessica Steward; great-nephews, J.R. Carroll, Kyle Jones, Clayton Steward, Ryan Brewton and Kyle Brewton; and great-great-nephews, Wade and Ty Carroll; and her dear friend Connie Peterson.

Francine was saved at Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church near Lincoln.

Funeral services were Friday, Nov. 17, at Sweeney-Phillips and Holdren Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Doug Jones, David Jones, John Carroll, J.R. Carroll, Bill Steward and David Giberson.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Baptist Church Building Fund or Twin Lakes Hospice and can be left in care of the funeral home.
