Francys Arlene O’Toole, 84, of Holden, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 11 at her daughter’s home in Independence, Mo.
Funeral mass is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holden. Friends may call 6–8 p.m. Monday at Ben Cast & Son – Wood Funeral Home in Holden
The celebrant is the Rev. Peter Savidge. Pallbearers are Brian Callahan, Brent Callahan, David Hancock, Timmothy Emmerich, Dustin Osborne and Greg Foster. Honorary pallbearers are Larry Peace, Kenneth Raker, Neil Terrell, Roy Dale Strurgis, Harold Hancock, Dale Callahan, Gregg Emmerich and Rod Raker.
Interment is at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Holden.
She was born in Magnolia, Mo., on June 19, 1928 the daughter of David Francis and Haidee Ann (Bobbitt) Raker. She graduated from Holden High School in 1944. She worked as a comptroller for Farmland Co-op in Kansas City for a few years, but lived in Holden most of her life.
On June 19, 1948 she married Richard F. O’Toole in Kansas City, Kan. He preceded her in death Oct 21, 1993.
Francys and her husband Richard owned and operated the DO Drive Inn Restaurant in Holden for many years. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holden and of the church Altar Society.
Surviving her passing are three daughters, Dolores Carol Hancock, Independence, Mo., Patricia Ellen Emmerich, Hobbs, N.M., and Dianne Catherine Callahan, Holden; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund.
