(LAWRENCE, Kan.) – Eight University of Central Missouri students participated in the Color Run Saturday, joining a host of other runners dressed in white ready to be sprayed by clouds of powdered colors.

The UCM team was Brandi Boehm, Mohit Srivastava, Amber Hartbank, Cooper Collins, JP Richardson, McKinsey Jordan, Lauren Slemenda and Bethany Peña.

The Color Run is a three-mile race that is focused on having fun with fellow racers rather than placing.

There are two rules to the event: wear white shirts and get plastered with color by the finish, according to the Color Run website, thecolorrun.com.
