Update: Two Jennies rack up postseason awards

Despite Jennies volleyball’s premature exit from the NCAA Tournament, two of the Jennies best hitters continue to earn postseason individual awards.

Junior Audrey Fisher has picked up two All-Region honors following the 2018 season. Fisher’s kills and kills per set ranked top-5 in the MIAA.

Junior Audrey Fisher picked up two All-Region honors following her All-MIAA first team selection. The Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association named Fisher to its All-Region team. Fisher then was named to the American Volleyball Coaches of America’s All-Region first team after leading the Jennies in kills for the 2018 season. Her kills per set and hitting percentage were top-five in the MIAA.

Senior Kylie Hohlen earned First Team College Sports Information Directors of American Academic All-District for her academic work. Hohlen is an elementary education major and sports a 4.0 GPA. Hohlen was also named to the AVCAs All-Region team as an honorable mention, her second consecutive season earning all-region honors.

Both Fisher and Hohlen were announced as AVCA honorable mention All-Americans in a press release from the AVCA Tuesday.

Hohlen’s first team recognition from CoSIDA nominates her for the Academic All-American team which will be announced in December.
